NCCA Sessions

Thinking about pursuing NCCA accreditation for your certification program(s)?  Already have an accredited program but need more information about the annual report and re-accreditation process?  This year ICE will host two accreditation sessions - one for those who are thinking about pursuing accreditation and a second for those organizations with accredited programs highlighting best practices for submitting annual reports and renewal applications.

Thursday, November 10, 2011

8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Accreditation Standards and Application Process
Valerie Browne, CAE
Sandy Friend
Elizabeth Grater

If your organization is considering NCCA-accreditation for one or more of your programs, please join us for this introductory session about the Standards and accreditation process.  ICE staff member Elizabeth Grater will cover the essentials about the Standards and application process.  Sandy Friend, Director of Certification for the American Culinary Federation, and Valerie Browne, Associate Registrar of the Human Resources Professionals Association will then discuss their experiences and lessons learned throughout the application process.  This session is a great opportunity to hear from and ask questions of those who have already been through the process.

Annual Report and Re-Accreditation Updates
Chad Buckendahl, PhD
Ida Darragh, CPM

Join NCCA Commissioners Chad Buckendahl and Ida Darragh as they review the annual report form required by all organizations with accredited programs, covering common mistakes and frequently asked questions. They will also discuss reminders and best practices for preparing and submitting an accreditation renewal application.

Disclaimer: This is a general educational session only. Specific questions related to individual programs will not be answered and responses to questions should not be viewed as a formal interpretation by the Commission.
