Research and Development Committee
Each year the ICE President appoints volunteers to our membership committees to guide the development of our organization. Our member's support is crucial to our continued success and we appreciate our volunteer’s interest and willingness to serve ICE in this capacity.
General Committee Information:
The Research and Development Committee is a newly formed committee with 5 members, each who serve at minimum a one year term and have a strong background in research projects and the ability to secure funds. The Committee has a chair, who runs the meeting and a Board Liaison who relays information to and from the Board of Directors. The Committee meets via conference call and calls are typically held every other month.
Charges for 2010:
- Develop tools that ICE members can use to assess the value of their credentialing programs
- Continue the research project on best practices in certification
- Plan the industry metrics benchmarking study so that data collection can begin in early 2011 and the report published in advance of the ICE conference that year
- Develop a guidance document on non-written and performance assessment instruments as an update to the 1991 document published by NCCA
- Review possible standard development project proposals and make recommendations to the Board
- Develop a strategy for generating funds for ICE research
- Continue the Job Analysis project for certifying “credentialing professionals”
