COHN, CAE joined the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in 1999 to head its communications department where she led a transformative rebranding process over the next several years. Today she continues to oversee the organization’s communications and PR efforts as well as its governance functions and the departments responsible for customer service and certification maintenance. Since its formation in 2006 through 2010, Ms. Cohn also helped led the NCCPA Foundation, assisting its board through the formulation of strategic plans and program definition and implementation. Notable accomplishments of the Foundation under her leadership included the development of DVD-based educational programs now in use in PA programs at colleges throughout the country, coordination and facilitation of a ground-breaking summit, introduction of a new research grants program and facilitation of a profession-wide discourse about what it takes to achieve excellence as a certified PA. |
