During this webinar, participants will learn about the basics of score reporting. The session will commence with a description of the essential elements of a successful score report for passing candidates and separately for failing candidates. Following that, the various standards that pertain to score reporting for certification examinations will be provided along with some guidance and commentary about their relevancy and meaning. The third part will focus on best practices for score reporting. Topics that will be covered include score metrics (e.g., raw, percent, or scaled scores), the reporting of subscores, error metrics, other potentially useful metrics (such as number of items), the use of graphics, and when/how to provide score reports.

About the Presenter
Brian is the founder and principal consultant of Mountain Measurement, Inc., the nexus of psychometrics, technology, and usability. Dr. Bontempo specializes in data visualization, test results reporting, relational database modeling, item response theory (IRT), Rasch modeling, computer-based testing (CBT), computerized-adaptive testing (CAT), test results management, large-scale testing, and licensure and certification. He is currently a Commissioner for the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (USA) and a regular presenter at the annual meetings of the International Association for Computerized Adaptive Testing, the Association of Test Publishers, the Institute for Credentialing Excellence, and the National Council on Measurement in Education. Before founding Mountain Measurement, Brian served the testing community as a Psychometrician for Microsoft, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, CAT, Inc., and the Northwest Evaluation Association. In his spare time, Brian enjoys being a musician, traveler, outdoor enthusiast, and father.
