Christopher Butcher, Heuristic Solutions
Christopher is principal Heuristic Solutions and chief architect of the LearningBuilder credentialing management system. He has provided thought leadership for on-line learning and assessment technologies for over 20 years. Over the past 5 years, Mr. Butcher has been a champion of continuing competence efforts, including both technical and conceptual domains. Working from a model of the “credentialing ecosystem,” Mr. Butcher has designed models for continuing competence that align organizational mission with standards of assessment and accountability. Mr. Butcher has served as a consultant to over 20 certification boards and associations to improve program effectiveness. 

Leanne Worsfold, iComp Consulting
Leanne is Director of Quality Programs and Test Development for iComp Consulting and has a background in quality assurance and test development. As well advance studies in  health law and adult education.  She has over 15 years experience in developing and implementing competency-based tools for Regulatory Bodies in Canada and for private and government agencies in both Canada and the United States. Leanne was a Practice Consultant at the College of Nurses of Ontario and Manager, Quality Programs at the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, where she supported the development of national competencies and lead the implementation of the continuing competence program. She has developed competency-based tools for the College of Nurses of Manitoba, College of Veterinaries of Ontario, College of Opticians of Ontario, Association of Canadian Occupational Therapists Regulatory Organization and the College of Dietitians of Ontario.  Other projects include the development of national competencies for the Commission of Dietetic Registration and the National Association of Canadian Optician Regulators.

Marnie graduated from the Occupational Therapy program at the University of Toronto in 1997. She has held clinical roles in paediatrics, hand therapy, rehabilitation and physical medicine. Currently, Marnie is the Senior Manager of Practice at the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is  responsible for administrating the Quality Assurance and Competency Review and Evaluation programs to registered Occupational Therapists in the province. Marnie has implemented competency-based assessments for occupational therapists in clinical and non-clinical roles and, established and implemented a process for therapists who perform a combination of both roles (mixed practice).

Christine Reidy, RD, Commission on Dietetic Registration
Christine is Executive Director of the Commission on Dietetic Registration, credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is also a past NCCA Commissioner and current member of the Nominating Committee. Chris has thirty years of experience in certification. Beginning in the late 1990's the Commission on Dietetic Registration transitioned from a traditional continuing professional education based recertification system to a portfolio based system for its 94,000 Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Dietetic Technician, Registered certificants. This portfolio based system was implemented in 2001. Most recently the Commission has initiated the transition to a competency based recertification system which will be implemented in 2015.
