Kevin R. Keller is Chief Executive Officer of Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board).  Under his leadership, in support of CFP Board’s mission to benefit the public by granting the CFP® certification and upholding it as the recognized standard of excellence for competent and ethical personal financial planning, CFP Board is pursuing ambitious goals related to four overarching outcomes: increase public Awareness of CFP® professionals; achieve Growth in the number of CFP® professionals; secure Recognition and Regulation of financial planning as a distinct profession; and further CFP Board’s position as the Authority in financial planning.

Mr. Keller joined CFP Board after serving 16 years with the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), a membership organization which provides products, education and training for treasury and corporate finance. At AFP, he held the position of senior vice president and chief operating officer for the prior seven years and managed programs and services for the 16,000-member organization. He led the organization's strategic planning process and enhanced and grew the Certified Treasury Professional credential.

Mr. Keller has held senior staff positions at several associations and earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2000. He holds a B.S. in agriculture and an M.S., both from Ohio State University.

Cary List, CPA, CA, Financial Planning Standards Council
As President and CEO of the Financial Planning Standards Council, Cary List has led the establishment of FPSC® as the premier standards-setter for financial planning in Canada and CFP® certification as the gold standard for financial planners, elevating the standards of the designation and working for recognition of financial planning as a distinct profession. Under Cary's leadership and in collaboration with partner organizations across Canada, his vision for a single set of national standards for financial planning is closer to fruition than ever before.

For two decades, Cary has embraced the importance of certification. At FPSC, Cary has overseen the launch of the CFP Practice Standards and the CFP Professional Competency Profile which clearly defined the knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes Canadians should expect from financial planners. Cary also led the development and adoption of the new constructed response, competency-based CFP certification examination introduced in 2010. He also embraces the importance of being part of the global community. He was instrumental in the development of the international competency profile now used by 135,000 CFP professionals around the world and has helped affiliates in China, Hong Kong and Thailand, among others, in developing their CFP certification programs. He has also continued to affirm FPSC's reputation as an international leader in certification through ISO 17024 accreditation, one of only five organizations in Canada to receive this accreditation.

Cary is certified as both a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner® professional. Cary was honored as one of the inaugural recipients of the Fellow of FPSC™ distinction for his years of commitment and dedication to establishing CFP certification as the standard for financial planning in Canada.

Mary Power, FASAE, CAE, CMP, Council of Better Business Bureaus
Mary E. Power is the president and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, the umbrella organization for 112 locally- based, independent BBBs across North America. Since 1912, BBB has continued its mission of building a trusted marketplace for both consumers business. In addition, the Council is home to the BBB’s industry leading programs on dispute resolution, advertising review, and industry self-regulation. 

Power has an extensive background in both association management and corporate management. She is a Fellow with the American Society of Association Executives, as well as a Certified Association Executive (CAE). She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Hospitality Business. She has successfully focused her efforts in strengthening industry standards and certification along with global expansion. Most recently she was CEO of the Convention Industry Council and the HR Certification Institute.

Power has numerous awards to her credit, including: “Outstanding Female Executive of the Year” by the American Society of Association Executives, “Hall of Leaders” by the Michigan State University School of Hospitality Business, and one of the “Top Five Outstanding Women Industry Executives” by the New York Society of Association Executives. She was also named one of the “25 Most Influential People in the Meeting Industry” by Meeting News Magazine and was recently inducted into the 2015 class of The International Women’s Forum.
