Julie Miles, PhD, Pearson VUE 
Dr. Miles leads the psychometric services and senior research scientist teams at Pearson VUE. These teams are responsible for utilizing measurement theory, statistical methodology, and data analysis to provide psychometrically sound examinations for client programs. They conduct applied research to improve client processes. Dr. Miles has research expertise in the areas of standard setting, computer-based testing, computerized adaptive testing, innovative item types, item response theory, and college and career readiness. An author of several articles and book chapters related to standard setting, she is a member of the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME). Dr. Miles holds an MA degree from California State University, San Bernardino in Experimental Psychology and a PhD degree from Boston College in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation.
