This on-demand webinar will help you engage in these strategic discussions with your Board and relevant committees regarding key changes to the NCCA Standards (effective January 2016). Ideas to help you plan your process, irrespective of stage of development, and to keep the NCCA standards at the top of the list of your volunteer leadership’s key priorities are presented.

Sara Blair Lake, J.D., CAE, International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners 
Sara Blair Lake, J.D., CAE, has served as the chief staff executive for certification organizations for the past seventeen years. Currently she is the Executive Director of the International Board of Lactation Consultant Exmainers (IBLCE), a global certification organization with over twenty-seven thousand certificants in 101 countries. The IBLCE certification program, the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), has held NCCA accreditation continously for close to thirty years and was one of the first certification programs to earn the accreditation.

Sara currently serves as a new Commissioner for the NCCA and is also an active volunteer with the Institute for Credentialing Excellence, having served as both a chair for the Program Committee of the ICE Exchange (2014) as well as Chair of the ICE Fundraising Committee. Several years ago, she served as chair of her own certification program, the Certified Association Executive (CAE) program of the American Society of Association Executives. In that capacity, Sara worked with a team including other volunteer leaders and staff to secure initial NCCA accreditation of the CAE program. 

       Isabelle Gonthier, PhD, Financial Planning Standards Council            

Isabelle Gonthier has a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Ottawa and has been providing her expertise in Assessment and Testing and Measurement for 15 years. Dr. Gonthier is the Vice President, Certification with the Financial Planning Standards Council in Canada, as well as the Director of Examinations with CFP Board in the US, overseeing the CFP examination programs in both countries.  Throughout her career, Dr. Gonthier has managed the development and administration of large-scale HR and testing and measurement projects that involve certification, licensing, skills recognition, career planning, work definition, identification of competencies / skills, etc. Dr. Gonthier is the vice-chair on the NCCA Commission and serves as a psychometric reviewer.
