Timothy Muckle, PhD, National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
Dr. Muckle is currently employed as the Director of Testing Services at the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.  While employed there, he has been responsible for overseeing test development and psychometric quality of the National Certification Examination, the development of innovative item types, and the development of program requirements and test specifications for a subspecialty examination (Non-Surgical Pain Management, including simulation items) and assessment components of the NBCRNA’s Continued Professional Certification (CPC) program. He took a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research interests include computerized adaptive testing (CAT), alternative item types, and performance-based assessments using simulation.  Dr. Muckle resides in Michigan with his wife and five children.


Patricia Young, MA, Kryterion, Inc.
Patricia Young, MA, is a psychometrician with 17 years' experience in the certification and licensure industry. She has worked with nonprofit boards, public agencies, and for-profit organizations on examination programs in a broad range of industries, including accounting, construction, financial, healthcare, information technology, public health, real estate, and safety. Her experience includes performing exam validation, development, and maintenance activities for both new and well-established certification and licensure programs and assisting clients in obtaining or maintaining NCCA or ANSI accreditation for their examination programs. For the past few years, she has served on a variety of committees for ICE, including serving on the Research and Development Committee as the chair of the Innovative Item Types task force.


Vikas Wadhwani, Cisco Systems
Vikas is a Sr. Manager for Strategy and Planning at Cisco Systems. He is a credentialing professional; with extensive experience in assessing skills for the future workforce. He has a Masters in engineering; and is focused on research; design and implementation of cost effective solutions for business challenges. He forges strategic partnerships; and believes in using data with automation to drive excellence in operations. Vikas actively contributes to the testing industry; and fosters a culture of innovation by coaching; motivating and mentoring teams.
