American Council on Exercise

Alexandra Link, MS, serves as Director of Credentialing at the American Council on Exercise (ACE), where she leads strategy and operations for certification, recertification, and continuing education approval. She oversees test development for ACE’s four certification programs, including SME recruitment and training, exam translation, and collaboration with testing service providers on all aspects of test development and analysis. With over 14 years in the credentialing industry, Link has contributed to many key initiatives such as virtual item development, live remote proctoring, SME training and mentorship programs, developing and launching video-based exam items, enhancements to exam security and disciplinary procedures, earning ISO/IEC 17024 Accreditation, and maintaining NCCA Accreditation. She holds an M.S. in Exercise Physiology and all four ACE Certifications. Link is grateful for the opportunity to participate in the I.C.E. Leadership Development Program and looks forward to learning and growing alongside her fellow cohort members.

Amanda Gallagher, MA, CCC-SLP is ASHA’s Director of Clinical Certification Programs and Ex-officio to the Committee on Clinical Specialty Certification (CCSC). Amanda joined the ASHA Staff as a subject matter expert with 18 years of experience working as a clinical speech-language pathologist in the field of adult neurorehabilitation. Amanda was the founding director of the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Program and has served as a volunteer on the Maryland Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council since 2017.

Dana Reid is the Director of Certification Services for the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), where she oversees certification and recertification operations, exam administration, accreditation compliance, and volunteer engagement in support of the organization’s strategic goals. With more than 25 years of experience in credentialing and certification management across healthcare and nursing organizations, she has led accredited programs, managed complex stakeholder relationships, and supported governance, appeals, and continuous improvement initiatives. Dana has completed the I.C.E. Credentialing Specialist Program and holds an Advanced Certification Administrator (ACA) credential. She looks forward to further developing her leadership skills through the I.C.E. Leadership Development Program. Outside of work, she enjoys cruising and spending time with her husband and fur baby.

Gina Parentino is a seasoned business development and strategy leader with more than two decades of experience in healthcare and professional services. She brings deep expertise in certification and credentialing, having spent over 14 years at the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), where she currently serves as Associate Director of Business Strategy. In this role, Gina leads credentialing initiatives, policy advocacy, and strategic projects that enhance compliance, operational efficiency, and organizational growth as well as staff and cultural engagement. Before joining ABMS, Gina managed national programs for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, including the rollout of the Head Start oral health initiative across 22 states. Her early career in financial services and marketing provided a strong foundation in operations, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Known for her ability to streamline workflows and foster cross-functional collaboration, Gina is passionate about advancing standards that support physicians, patients, and the broader healthcare community.

Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer

Jason Graham, PhD, ATC serves as Director of Credentialing at the Board of Certification (BOC). In his current role, he oversees key aspects of credentialing, including accreditation, quality assurance, exam administration, professional discipline, and outreach, while supporting regulatory affairs and specialty certification. Since joining the BOC in 2022, Jason has held previous roles as Exam Developer and Professional Practice Manager. Additionally, he has earned the Credentialing Specialist certification from the Institute of Credentialing Excellence (ICE). He earned a B.S. in Athletic Training and M.S. in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University and a PhD in Health Sciences from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Jason has maintained BOC certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2009, bringing his experiences as both a clinician and educator in the athletic training profession to the BOC.

In my role as the Associate Vice President of Operations and Specialty Boards at the American Osteopathic Association, I lead operational strategy and oversee the specialty board services team. I manage a talented group of professionals and guide initiatives that strengthen certification processes, improve stakeholder engagement, and enhance the experience for candidates and diplomates. I also serve as the Director for the Board of Orthopedic Surgery. I’m passionate about creating systems and experiences that help physicians navigate certification with confidence and clarity. At the heart of my work is a commitment to operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the osteopathic medical profession.

Jonathan serves as the Certification Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and brings nearly 20 years of experience in credentialing. In his role, he works closely with subject matter experts, vendors, and internal teams to develop and maintain the NSCA’s 5 certification programs, with a strong focus on exam integrity, security, and practical execution. He recently earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, attending concerts, and singing backup vocals for his island reggae band, Box State Rootz.

Josh Bowers is a Client Success Director at PSI, a role he has held since October 2020, where he partners with clients to drive successful outcomes across certification and assessment programs. He is ICE-CCP certified and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS), where he chairs the Programs Committee, AI Committee, and Awards Committee. Previously, Josh spent seven years at Prometric, first as a Global Operations Coordinator and later as an Account Manager, gaining extensive experience in testing operations and client management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations from High Point University.

Board of Pharmacy Specialties

Katarina (Kat) Peak is the Associate Director, Examination Development with the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) where she oversees the development, delivery, and publication of certification examinations for 16 pharmacy specialty programs. In this role, she coordinates and executes the development for 3 of the pharmacy specialty programs, as well as supervises and manages a team of exam developers who lead the activities of the other 13 pharmacy specialty programs. Prior to joining BPS, Kat's credentialing industry journey began with PSI Services as a Test Developer where she provided examination development support for professional certification programs in a variety of fields, and she first began working with pharmacists while managing pharmacy professional development activities and recertification courses as a Project Manager at the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). Kat received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature and Secondary Education from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. In her spare time, she is an avid reader, a board game enthusiast, and a mom of two opinionated corgis.

Kimia has worked in professional credentialing and certification since 2016, following completion of her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After nearly a decade of professional experience, she returned to UNCG to earn a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management. Her background includes work with associations and trade organizations, with a focus on operational effectiveness and the administration of professional certification programs. In her current role, Kimia oversees the day-to-day operations of the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) and works closely with the Executive Director to develop long-term operational strategies, programs, products, and protocols aligned with ATCB’s mission and objectives. Outside of work, Kimia enjoys Pilates, reading, discovering new music, and spending time with her family, loved ones, and her pets. She is passionate about animal welfare and volunteers with an animal rescue organization as a program assistant, supporting mission-driven programs and community outreach.

Laura works as an examination developer in the piping trades creating exams for plumbing, HVACR, sprinkler fitting, Medical Gas, Hand Rigging, and more at National ITC, Corporation. NITC delivers over 15,000 exams per year. Laura is part of a team that maintains four accredited exam schemes updating exams each code cycle, conducting Job Task Analyses with industry Subject Matter experts, and acting as inhouse psychometrician. She is also heavily involved in the annual accreditation process. Her previous work experience includes performance improvement, research and guideline development, and graduate medical education accreditation in health care settings. Laura is a member of ICE, ATP (Certification and Licensure SIG), and ISPI Southern California BOD member, hosting their monthly RoundTable event.

Lucia Coghlan is a credentialing professional with five years of experience overseeing credential maintenance, application vetting, continuing education approval, and special accommodation processes. In her current role, she monitors credentialing metrics, conducts team training, collaborates on maintaining application guides and policies, and serves as a key point of contact for candidates and credential holders. Previously within the ISA Credentialing Department, Lucia oversaw the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) program, managing instructor compliance, evaluator scheduling, registrations, invoicing, and event logistics while supporting ISA Chapters, Certification Liaisons, and TRAQ hosts. Throughout her career, she has led process improvement initiatives and established performance metrics, bringing a customer-focused and collaborative approach to leadership.

Sumbo serves as an Exam Developer at the American Board of Internal Medicine, bringing more than ten years of experience in the assessment industry. Her expertise includes designing and developing a wide range of K–12 and professional licensure and certification assessments. Throughout her career, Sumbo’s responsibilities have encompassed various aspects of assessment development. She played a key role in conducting alignment evaluation studies, performing item analysis, and carrying out fairness and bias reviews to ensure the quality and equity of assessments. In addition to these responsibilities, Sumbo has also served in leadership roles as an assessment lead and project coordinator, guiding teams and managing complex assessment initiatives. Sumbo is deeply committed to developing high-quality, fair, and reliable assessments that supports both students and professionals in reaching their academic and career aspirations

Rebecca Beavers is the Senior Analytics Manager at the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), where she oversees exam eligibility, development, and reporting for the Registered Dietitian (RD), Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credentials as well as assisting with CDR’s specialist certifications. With over 15 years of experience, she has a strong background in analytics, public policy, and credentialing. Rebecca earned her undergraduate degrees in English and Political Science from Indiana University and later completed a Master of Public Policy at King’s College London. She currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid equestrian.

Previously she worked at SolarWinds, where she worked on the development and maintenance of SolarWinds Certified Professional Examinations and the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) where she worked in various roles to manage, develop, maintain, and administer NICET's technologist/technician exams.

Sarah Blossom, ICE-CCP, is Director of Certification at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), where she leads strategy, growth, and oversight for the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS). She oversees certification and recertification for programs including Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Professional in Human Factors in Health Care (CPHFH), Certified Professional in Age-Friendly Health Care (CPAFH), and Certified Professional in Clinical Health Equity (CPCHE). With over 13 years of experience in credentialing, Sarah began her career in health services research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, is a graduate of the NPSF-AHA Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship, and is an I.C.E.-Certified Credentialing Professional. Sarah lives in New Hampshire with her husband, three children, and golden retriever. Outside of work, she loves reading, skiing, and spending time with family.

Dr. Shahid Choudhry is a dedicated public health professional who possesses over 15 years of expertise in mixed-methods research, as well as in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services. Since 2019, he has held the position of Director of Research and Evaluation at the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Dr. Choudhry’s work is predicated on advancing public safety by implementing evidence-based credentialing practices through empirical research and human-centered design, with particular emphasis on assessment innovation and the integration of emerging technologies that transcends beyond measuring knowledge recall.

Pediatric Nursing Certification Board

Victoria (Tori) Salazar is the Manager of Candidate Success at the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) and has over ten years of experience in the certification industry. In her role, Tori oversees candidates and faculty success initiatives, manages the exam retake processes, and serves as the primary liaison for faculty across more than 170 recognized Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) programs. Additionally, she is responsible for PNCB’s awards and scholarship programs, and she contributes to research on trends in education and certification. Outside of work, Tori enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband and two children. She also loves exploring new restaurants and traveling.
