Free for I.C.E. Members, white papers are short publications (averaging 6 to 12 pages long) that serve as a tool to inform, educate, and perhaps persuade an intended audience on a particular topic or issue.

Consider yourself an expert on an issue relevant to the credentialing community? Passionate about discovering best practice and influencing industry thought-leadership?

Regardless of your past writing or publishing experience, you can gain industry exposure, earn recognition in your field, and increase your professional development by writing a white paper for I.C.E.. The Publications Committee is currently accepting white paper abstracts for possible publication. I.C.E. membership is not required to submit content or to publish.

Why publish through I.C.E.?

Becoming published through I.C.E. ensures your thought-leadership is showcased across multiple industries in the credentialing field. Author benefits include the following:

  • Exposure: Position yourself as an authority on industry topics and benefit from I.C.E.'s promotion of your work. Refer to Publication Contract below for details
  • Industry Recognition: White papers serve as a platform for defining and setting best practice in the credentialing industry. Peers may cite your work in their own projects, increasing your name recognition.
  • Professional Development:  Add this achievement to your resume and/or CV. If requested, I.C.E. will also write a letter to your organization's Executive Director or President that recognizes your personal achievement and contribution to the industry.
  • Compensation: Upon publication, an honorarium of $750 will be paid to the author. In the case of co-authors, the honorarium will be divided between or among the authors.

Before submitting a full white paper, send us an abstract and outline! Our Publications Committee will review it to ensure that the chosen topic will resonate well with our audiences.
