Public Comment Period Open until January 23, 2026.
With revision of the ICE 1100: Standard for Assessment-Based Certificate Programs, I.C.E. is proposing updates to our Basic Guide to Credentialing Terminology to include terms relevant to the assessment-based certification programs, and to edit select current terms so they wer applicable to a broader range of credentialing options.
The purpose of the public comment period is to allow interested parties to submit written feedback based on the terminology updates.

What happens after the comment period?
All feedback received will be reviewed by the Terminology Task Force and I.C.E. Management, and comments that we agree with will be reflected in the final document. The final version will be published on the I.C.E. Store as a complimentary resource.
