I.C.E. Has a New Brand Identity

The Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.) provides a supportive learning and networking community for credentialing professionals and organizations. In addition to membership, I.C.E. offers pathways for certification and certificate programs to earn accreditation. As such, I.C.E. refreshed its brand to represent the evolving needs of the credentialing community and to create clarity in the marketplace.

You will begin to see new messaging that highlights I.C.E.’s unique value and connects with key stakeholders of the credentialing community. Throughout 2021, I.C.E. will continue to implement our new brand, making updates to resources, publications, and the website.

Brand Mark Story

ICE Brand Mark

The I.C.E. brand mark is inspired by the letter forms in the organization’s acronym: “I,” “C,” and “E.” When layered over each other, they form a circular shape with three sections. The left section represents the broader I.C.E. parent brand, which encompasses both the Membership community and Accreditation Services. These distinct aspects of the organization are represented by the sections on the right side of the mark.

The I.C.E brand mark has four colors representing various aspects of the brand family. The outer boundary and inner lines have a deep, foundational blue. In the mark, this symbolizes the distinction between membership and accreditation by separating them, and also unifying them within the outer boundary of the mark. The membership green represents learning, professional growth, and a collaborative member community. The accreditation blue represents the trusted excellence of I.C.E.’s accreditation standards and processes. The turquoise institute blue represents the overarching I.C.E. brand blending the colors that represent membership and accreditation. 

Brand Family

Below is the structure of the I.C.E. brand family. Within the overall parent brand are two primary branches: membership and accreditation. The membership brands have green hues, and accreditation brands have blue hues.

This tagline distills why I.C.E. exists and what its core areas of expertise and value are. These include an engaged member community, opportunities to practice and grow in one’s professional competence, and the credibility of both I.C.E.’s accreditation services and the organizations who meet its accreditation standards
